"On
the wings of Oodles!"
All labels on this page feature vintage Airplanes
All Charles Hubbell Aviation Prints are guaranteed original from the years stated. They are
stored flat and will be shipped in archival quality sleeves with backing boards to prevent bending. Some
are over 60 years old so please remember to use only acid free materials when framing.
I have acquired an inventory of the most Hubbell prints of anyone online. It would be difficult to put them all up on the website.
If there is a particular plane you are interested in, please email me and
I will check my inventory. There are galleries selling and receiving $100 each for these lithographs, but I have tried to keep
my prices in the affordable range so these beautiful prints are accessible to everyone who admires them. As far as I know, these are not
limited edition prints, but all that remains is all there is.
Depending on your connection, this page may take some time to load. There are many graphics. Please be patient - You won't be disappointed.
Approximate
overall size of each is 16 5/8" x 14".
Signed: Charles H. Hubbell in the print. Many of the original oils of these
paintings are in the Smithsonian. THESE ARE NOT REPRODUCTION
LITHOGRAPHS. They are stored flat in an archival quality
sleeve in a temperature controlled environment. They are shipped flat
- never rolled - in an archival quality sleeve between cardboard fillers.
I am a collector also and take great care in packaging. s/h is $8.00 Priority Mail with delivery
confirmation.
Charles Hubbell was the world’s best-known
artist-historian of the early air age. He began painting winners of the National
Air Races for Thompson Products (which eventually became TRW) in 1939. These
paintings were used for an annual calendar that Thompson Products produced. Each
calendar featured a theme. Hubbell’s paintings were known for their
extraordinary detail. During his 30-year association with TRW, Hubbell created
32 calendars and more than 375 individual oil paintings. He, himself, said
that the prints were as close to the originals as possible. Please note
these are not the calendar page prints
